Wow! What a day! We were honoured to have the presence of the Irish Ambassador to Kenya, Dr Vincent O’Neill, accompanied by his wife Brona, along with the Cabinet Secretary for the Environment Prof. Judi Wakhungu, as well as Professors from University College Dublin and Pwani University Kenya, honourable guests from the ADC, KWS, WMA and many others. The launch of the signing of the MOUs between the two universities was an opportunity to get like minded people together in the The Galana Conservancy to see the potential both in the conservancy but also in the local community with the announcement that FFI will commence the building of a secondary school in Galana. Exciting times ahead! We are very appreciative of all who attended today, thank you and thank you to the volunteers who make all this possible!
